Travel Information

Samos can be reached either by plane or by ferry.

By ferry
Your trip to Samos can be with a conventional ferry boat or by high-speed depending on the day, the time and the ferry company you wish to travel with. Ferries leave from the port of Piraeus. Karlovasi is the first port of Samos, where the ferries stop. Next stop and final destination is the port of Samos (Samos town, or Vathy, is the capital town of Samos island)
If you select to visit Samos with the conventional ferry, your trip for the port of Piraeus will take about 10-12 hours while with a high-speed ferry 6.30-7.30 hours depending on how many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

By plane

There are direct charter flights to Samos from many European cities.

From the airport to Karlóvasi
The Samos International Airport "Aristarchos of Samos" is located near Pythagorion. Taxis are available outside of the Arrival Terminal of Samos International Airport.
