Christina Parpoula

Christina Parpoula studied at the University of Ioannina, Greece (B.Sc. in Mathematics, 2007) and the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (M.Sc. in Mathematical Modeling in Modern Technologies and Financial Engineering, 2010, Ph.D. in Statistics, 2015). She has worked as a Researcher/Statistician at the Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (HCDCP) of the Hellenic Ministry of Health, and as a Scientific Expert/Collaborator at the Institute of Commerce and Services (ICS) of National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce (ESEE). She has worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Athens University of Economic and Business, the University of Piraeus and the University of the Aegean. In addition, she has worked as a Postdoctoral researcher fellow (advisor: Prof. Alex Karagrigoriou) at the Department of Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics of the University of the Aegean, Greece and as an Adjunct Professor at Hellenic Open University.  ​She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens, Greece.

Her research activities cover various areas of Statistics such as Statistical Modeling, Design of Experiments, Linear and Generalized Linear Models, Model Selection Criteria, Information Theory Measures, Statistical Quality Control, Biostatistics. She has published more than 22 articles and given more than 12 presentations at International and Hellenic conferences and 2 invited talks at Hellenic universities.​
